Affected Product: Logpoint

Affected Version: v7.8.3

Fix Version: v7.8.4

Description:

Upgrading to Logpoint v7.8.3 may take significantly longer than usual on systems with large storage capacity and high disk utilization, especially on systems using network-based storage.

The extended upgrade duration is due to additional background verification steps introduced as part of enhanced appliance hardening.

During the upgrade process:

  • Logpoint remains fully operational

  • Log ingestion and processing continues normally

  • There is no impact on system usability or existing data.

  • You can use the system without any functional limitations while the upgrade is in progress.

Do not reboot or shut down the system while the upgrade is in progress. Once the upgrade is completed, the system will reboot automatically.
