Unable to restore configuration and log backups from one SIEM instance to another

Description:

As part of security hardening improvements introduced in Logpoint v7.9.0, backup encryption key handling was changed to use instance-specific encryption keys. As a result, configuration and log backups created on one SIEM instance cannot be restored on a different instance because the backup cannot be decrypted outside the source instance. 

This issue affects migration and disaster recovery workflows where backups are transferred between SIEM instances to replicate configurations or restore data.

This behavior is also seen if the same action is performed on SIEM instances via Director Console UI or API.
